Health Exchange’s Senior Management Team is responsible for the charity’s day-to-day activities; leading its staff, consultants and volunteers so that the organization delivers its services as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Its members are:

Olabimpe Odubanjo
Head of Finance
After completing an MSc in Management Finance in Wales, Olabimpe completed training and qualified as a chartered accountant in Birmingham. Olabimpe is the Head of Finance at Health Exchange. She has over 15 years’ experience in the accountancy profession involving charity reporting, accountancy, transaction services, Business analysis and joined Health Exchange in 2020. She also supports two charities as a Trustee outside work. Olabimpe is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Qualified Accountants and has extensive experience working on monitoring and evaluating the performance of projects.

Rachel Georgiou
Head of the Living Well Taking Control Programme
Having joined Health Exchange in 2010 to oversee programme delivery of our Chronic Disease Management, Rachel supported delivery of smoking cessation, health trainer and NHS Health Checks services; and then development of our National Diabetes Prevention Programme. With qualifications in Sports Therapy, Diabetes & Cardio-Vascular Disease Management, Health Coaching and project management, she has a passion for translating theories into practice, ensuring that patients are at the centre of choices relating to their health & wellbeing.

Parminder Sandhu
Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing Services
Parminder has worked within the Mental Health field for over 10 years. After studying for her Masters Degree at Keele University, she qualified and worked as a mental health therapist before moving into the management of Mental Health Services, and has been with Health Exchange for almost three years. Our services offer mental health support to those of all ages within Birmingham and other areas. We predominantly have two services: Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) for those aged 25 years and above; and Forward-Thinking Birmingham (FTB), which is delivered to individuals aged between 16-25 years.
Stuart Haw
Head of Social Prescribing Services
Stuart is an experienced community development, health, and sport management professional and researcher. Having begun his career working in operational roles at National Governing Bodies including British Fencing, British Athletics, and Special Olympics GB, Stuart quickly learnt how sport and physical activity could be a vital catalyst in preventative aspects of community health. In recent years Stuart has been leading community health teams across the Midlands and East of England, he set up VCSE social prescribing arrangements and the Community Health Network in Peterborough. He has a PhD in health and life sciences and has worked on research projects with Sport England, the Institute of Community Studies, and National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Alan Weinstock
Chief Executive Officer
Alan is Chief Executive of Health Exchange incorporating Living Well Taking Control. Alan is an experienced leader in social care with over 20 years’ experience, working in CEO and Director roles in learning disability, mental health, and older people organisations. As a value-based leader, Alan is dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals and communities. Alan leads Health Exchange mission to promote health and wellbeing through preventative measures, education, and community engagement to help people lead healthier lives.
Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Alan gained valuable experience in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Alan fosters a collaborative approach with all stakeholders, empowering people to create and deliver sustainable solutions to address pressing health and social issues. Alan has a proven track record of delivering high-quality support services to vulnerable individuals and communities. His leadership style is characterised by a deep commitment to collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
