Living Well Taking Control wins contracts across England

Health Exchange and Devon-based charity Westbank, working together as Living Well Taking Control (LWTC), have won a string of NHS contracts across England.  They will be delivering in six of 27 ‘first wave’ areas that are participating in the Healthier You: the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme.

Since March 2013 Health Exchange and Westbank have run an evaluated diabetes education and support programme that has been in development for over six years.  Aimed at people both at risk of developing, or recently diagnosed with, Type 2 diabetes, the programme has delivered significant positive results and helped to inform the evidence base underpinning the new NHS programme.

LWTC will be operating in: Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull ; County Durham; Dudley; Rochdale; Sefton and St Helen’s; and Bury.
