EASYCare cited as one of the key innovations needed to address healthcare challenges

The link below is a report published by the International Longevity Centre (ILC-UK) that was launched last week. It is titled ‘Towards affordable healthcare: Why effective innovation is key’ and cites EASYCare as one of the key innovations needed to address the challenges of 21st Century healthcare system.

Health Exchange have been key in demonstrating EASYCare’s success within UK. Through several awarded contracts over the past 2 years, we have contributed to the strong evidence and rationale for a holistic and robust person-centred approach to improving the lives of older people in Birmingham. The ILC report demonstrates the potential cost savings, large scale applicability, macro influence and culture change that EASYCare can demonstrate.

‘This could result in a cost saving of up to £3.3 billion between 2014 and 2030′

The report calls for trends of long term underfunding and system redesign to be addressed in order to fully implement a personalised and holistic healthcare system.

Health Exchange are the UK license holders for the EASYCare Project. For more information on EASYCare and how it may be implemented in your area, please contact Health Exchange on info@healthexchange.org.uk.
