JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary: £65,000-£85,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: Full Time

Department: Health Exchange

Location: Avoca Court, 27 Moseley Road, Birmingham, B12 0HJ

Accountable to: Health Exchange UK Board

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL: SMT, Data Lead, Business Development, Operational Leads

EXTERNAL: Health Exchange UK Board, Commissioners, Strategic partners

 

JOB PURPOSE:

To lead a strong and vibrant “can do” organisation with a committed, motivated and passionate workforce.

To instil and maintain a reputation for quality and customer service and a commitment to grow the business in the years ahead.

To be focused on continuous improvement and use novel approaches to lead the organisation through a complex and ever-changing health and social care landscape, in pursuit of growth and diverse opportunities.

To supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the company, be the primary officer in the company and be responsible for giving strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success.

To be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader with an ability to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings. To take responsibility for actions to enhance the company’s cash flow while keeping the human factor in perspective. To drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success. To build relationships with key strategic decision makers that ensure Health Exchange is at the forefront of people’s choices as a service delivery partner.

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term organisational objectives

· Lead and motivate managers and staff to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing team

· Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the company

· Make high-quality, strategic investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits

· Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics

· Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions and improvements

· Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important stakeholders

· Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

· Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and sectors in which we operate

· Lead and motivate the business through strong commitment to the principles and values of the company and the social enterprise sector

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Proven experience as a CEO or in another senior managerial position

· Strong background in social enterprise or trading charity leadership

· Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision

· Strong understanding of social finance and performance management principles

· Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.

· In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices

· Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and public speaking skills

· An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organisational and leadership skills

· MBA/MSc/MA in business administration or relevant field
