Quality Of Life For Older People
This specific program came to a close in August 2011, however, if you are interested in this service please call Health Exchange on 0800 158 35 35 to find out what we can provide in your area.
The Quality of Life Access and Information Service provides older people with opportunities to review and improve their own well-being by drawing on a system of assessment and advice, supported by high quality information about local well-being services.
It also involves the development of the cool-info website. Cool-info welcomes you to choices and options in older life. It provides a service to help you find, contact and get to the groups available to you. This is for areas in Birmingham in the uk. The services range from knitting to home help, if you need some help around the home. Visit the website and book your first group.
The aims of the service are to:
- promote quality of life, well-being, self care and independence among older people
- Increase older people’s awareness of the well-being services available in their area and improve their access to coordinated, high quality well-being services.
